Travel Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) Position

Location: Fairbanks, Alaska
Start Date: December
Assignment Length: 16 Weeks
Hours: 36 hours/week, 12-hour Day Shifts

About the Position:

An opportunity is available for a proficient and dependable Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to embark on a 16-week travel assignment in a hospital-based geriatric care facility in Fairbanks, Alaska. The ideal candidate will demonstrate recent hospital experience, exceptional clinical abilities, and the capacity to swiftly adapt to a dynamic work environment.

Job Responsibilities:

• Deliver superior patient-focused care under the guidance of nursing professionals
• Assist with daily living tasks such as bathing, dressing, and aiding in mobility
• Take and document vital signs and patient assessments
• Maintain patient comfort and uphold safety standards
• Effectively communicate with nursing teams and interdisciplinary collaborators
• Be prepared to work across various units as required

Schedule & Requirements:

• Shift: Day shift, 12 hours
• Hours: 36 hours per week
• Weekends: Mandatory (rotational basis)
• Holidays: Mandatory
• On-Call: Not expected
• Floating: Necessary as per operational needs

Minimum Qualifications:

• Active Alaska CNA License
• At least 2 years of recent CNA experience within a hospital setting
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification
• Willingness to travel and commit to the full assignment duration

Preferred Qualifications:

• 5+ years of CNA experience
• Prior experience with travel assignments
